Day 22

Breakfast.-- I took this picture with my built-in camera on my laptop because I was too lazy to do any more exertion other than using the tip of my fingers. Haha.

The usual -- Almond Breeze + Organic Toasted O's cereal!

Aaaand lunch:

  • 1 microwaveable packet of Easy Mac!
And then for some snacks to keep me going...

  • 1 Yoplait White Chocolate Strawberry yogurt cup
  • 1 serving of Planter's South Beach Diet Recommended Mix nuts (yep, that's a mouthful... literally. Bad joke!)
And then dinner...

  • 1 chicken breast ( I didn't eat that much chicken, this is a recyled picture)
  • 1/2 cup of corn
  • 1/2 cup of green beans
  • 1/4 cup of rice (not as much as in the picture)
And I DIDN'T have that wretchedly delicious honey bun cake! Crisis averted! I just had this instead....

A nice little fro-yo cone :)

And then for some late-night snacking while studying/procrastinating...

I kind of had more than a serving size.... maybe twice the serving size... oops. Welp, for the most part I did a good job today.

Plus, I forgot to mention that last entry was the three-week anniversary of this blog! So, to anyone out there who reads this... whoop whoop!

Day 21

Breakfast was delicious... healthily delicious, of course.

However, I did get quite hungry when lunchtime rolled around....

  • 1 slice of (beef?) lasagna
  • carrots
  • green beans
  • 1 slice of garlic bread
  • only three bites of the garlic pesto chicken pasta... a bit *too* carb-loaded, ya know?
And thennnn... more carbs for dessert. :/

  • Vanilla frozen yogurt
  • 4 sugar cookies
Then I proceeded directly to the gym across the street to complete an hour of yoga-sculpt class. Guilt averted ;)

I had a snack while watching some movies for some extra credit in my History of Motion Picture class (I HIGHLY recommend Bonnie & Clyde, Slacker, and Amores Perros.)

  • 1 serving size of Goldfish!
And then the main course...

  • 2 slices of whole grain Ezekiel bread
  • 6 slices of Oscar Meyer turkey
And then, dessert!!!

  • 1 cup of raspberries and blueberries
  • a serving of whole wheat crackers + Laughing Cow creamy swiss cheese!!
A yummy, guilt-free dessert, I should think!!!! So proud of myself :) Now only if I never ate ice cream or cookies again.....!

Day 20

Had a pretty hearty breakfast... I wanted to keep myself going until 2pm because of a big test I had that afternoon!

  • scrambled eggs (I only had about 3 bites... they were rubbery and gross. Ick.)
  • 2 pancakes with about 1 tbsp of butter
  • 1 Breakfast burrito... yum!
Lunch was kinda weird.

  • 1 Campbell's Soup at Hand (Chicken & Stars... where it's at!)
  • 1 Yoplait White Chocolate Strawberry flavored yogurt
But then I broke down and had around 3/4 of a pint of Homemade Vanilla Bluebell Ice cream.... ohhh man.

Dinner was somewhat meager, to make up for the crazy amount of calories/fat I consumed earlier...

  • Oscar Meyer Deli Creations (Turkey & Chicken)
Only later did I find out that this actually had a lot of fatty preservatives. Oops.

And lastly, my small 1/2 serving of Goldfish while watching GLEE!

The last thing I did today was work out, burning around 600-650 calories to get rid of the ice cream guilt. Hooray for me! :)

EDIT: A late-night study snack. :(

Pretzels and Cheez-its from the party mix, and 1 snickerdoodle.

Day 19

Breakfast was kind of a whammy... I started out with the usual cereal bowl...

But then I realized I still had my leftover pancakes by the time I had finished!!! I didn't want them to go bad so I ate them anyway. :/

So then I tried to keep my lunch small/low-cal.

  • 1 beef burrito (not pictured)
  • 1 slice of Naan bread (not pictured)
  • corn
  • cantelope & honeydew
  • pudding (back at the dorm)
Then a mid-day snack...

Passion tea and Banana Nut Bread at Starbucks... The Passion tea is NO CALORIES! :) But I didn't know how sugary that bread was until I looked it up online... never again...!

Then, dinner.

  • Ezekiel whole grain bread + 5 slices of Oscar Meyer Turkey breast
  • Planter's Nuts
  • 1 So Delicious Ice cream Dairy Free mini ice cream sandwich

Day 18

YUM! My parents woke me up at 8am today, but all for good intentions... I had some delicious pancakes ... (2 1/2 actually, I gave some to my brother because I felt bad for him. Haha.)

Although these weren't the actual pancakes I consumed I brought some extra home for tomorrow (which is now today... sorry about the delay.)

I was still full from breakfast so my "lunch" consisted of just a few snacks.

  • Planter's South Beach Diet nut mix (cashews, almonds, macadamias)
  • Yoplait White Chocolate Strawberry yogurt
  • 1 wedge of Creamy Swiss Laughing Cow spreadable cheese + 20 or so small wheat crackers
And for dinner....

  • Lean Cuisine Shrimp Alfredo (with broccoli, peas & linguini) frozen dinner. Yum. And only 250 calories. Yesss!
And my dessert(s)...

  • 1 Jell-O 60-calorie sugar free pudding cup
  • 1 pink lady apple
Good day!! :)

Day 17

I kept breakfast simple and small because I was somewhat aware of what lie ahead that day...

My parents found a great hamburger joint on 6th street called Hut's Hamburgers. And boy, did we go to town...

I didn't take a picture but I found my meal on the Hut's Hamburgers website. The only differences were that I had about half as much a fries, and a PLAIN hamburger with only a thin layer of ketchup. I also had, like, 3 or 4 bites from my mom's mashed potatoes. All very, very delish.

And ohhh man. The dessert was amazing.

I found this image off the internet as well... This dessert was a delicious EXPLOSION IN MY MOUTH! I split it three ways with my mom and my little brother. But nonetheless I was STUFFED after that.

So we didn't eat until around 9pm... at Pappasito's. Best Tex-Mex restaurant everrr.

Started off with a few tortilla chips... maybe had around 10 or 15... maybe 20... I dunno. Was having too much fun to pay attention. Haha!

Then, about half of the beans and most of the Mexican (Spanish?) rice.

The main dish!!!!
  • 3 tortillas
  • about 6-8 strips of beef fajitas
YUM! What a great day out with the family :) I guess I'll have to work out tomorrow morning/afternoon to burn off all the extra calories.... *sigh*

Day 16

My morning consisted of a quick breakfast at the cafeteria downstairs while preparing for a presentation I was going to give in 20 minutes!!! (Yes, that is a Lady Gaga presentation, and yes, that is a Phantom of the Opera background on my desktop :) )

  • 2 scrambled eggs
  • 1 hash brown
  • 1 biscuit + 1 tablespoon of jelly
Lunch was baaaaad. It started out alright...

  • 1 plain grilled chicken sandwich
  • 4 strawberries, a bit of cantelope and honeydew
  • (pasta + marinara meat sauce... the sauce was DISGUSTING, so I only had like 3 bites)
Then my friend walked to the table with a whole belgian waffle in hand, so we split it. It's not pictured, but man did I load up on the carbs :/ Not to mention for dessert....

  • Vanilla pudding (a small empty bowl of it, anyway...)
  • Vanilla fro-yo
Eek. :( So I proceeded to burn about 620 calories at the gym across the street, which I hope even things out.

For dinner, all I had in my room was carb and/or starch-loaded stuff so I opted for a relatively low-carb meal:

A salad, water, and.... My dessert... an Oreo pudding parfait. I couldn't resist.

I'm going to try my best to be good this weekend... my parents are coming over so who knows what desserts I might be subjected to...! So I might exercise again tomorrow afternoon if I have the motivation...

Anyway, cheers! Happy Friday!

Day 15

Breakfast! Cereal!

The nonexistent remnants of Almond Breeze and Organic Toasted O's Cereal.

Lunch was DELICIOUS. I was craving a good hearty meal rather than the usual lukewarm cafeteria food so I went to a cool place at the Union Building ... I think it was called Bene Pasta or something Italian like that.

  • 1 large bowl of spaghetti pasta with marinara sauce and Parmesan cheese
  • 1 sourdough bread roll
Yummm! :)
Then, upon returning back to my dorm, I caught up on my History of Motion Picture reading while snacking on an apple

  • 1 pink lady apple
  • About 10 Goldfish crackers (impulsive...!)
After all, doesn't an apple a day keep the doctor away?!

And then I had a Kashi bar during class... It was particularly boring that day.

(I just noticed that the granola bar looks like a rocket ship... Hehe... clever.)

Then, dinner:

  • Lean Cuisine Grilled Chicken Caesar
And dessert...

  • 1 60-calorie sugar free Jell-O pudding cup
  • the last 1/3rd of the Cake & Ice cream pint from last night
